Within the framework of the NARDT project, the Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agriculture and Rural Development held a consultation on agricultural and rural development orientation for the period 2021-2030 in the form of face-to-face and online on October 22, 2021. The purpose of the consultation was to consult experts on the draft of the Sustainable Agriculture Development Strategy for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. The seminar had the participation of leading experts such as H.E Cao Duc Phat - former Minister of MARD, Dr. Dang Kim Son – former DG of IPSARD, Prof. Tran Duc Vien – former President of VNUA, Dr. Nguyen The Chinh – former Director General of ISPONRE of MONRE, Dr. Nguyen Do Anh Tuan – DG of the Department of International Cooperation of MARD, Dr. Nguyen Minh Tien - Chief of Secretariat of the National Co-ordination Office of the National Target Programme on New Rural Development , Dr. Nguyen Hong Son - Director of the Viet Nam Academy of Agricultural Sciences, representatives of universities and experts from international organizations such as FAO, WB, ADB, IFAD.

The discussion part of the workshop was lively with many insightful comments, clarifying many aspects of the Strategy. The draft strategy is evaluated as comprehensive, complete, with new and advanced ideas, but needs to be written down more concisely and clearly, and must show more clearly new points and breakthroughs.
